The Getaway is a premium gravel handmade TLR (Tubeless) tire designed for handling most gravel terrain. This tire is staying in their lineup but we got a chance to grab this black colorway before it was gone so we can offer it up to you.

Rob's Take: "I switched to the Challenge Getaway from the Pirelli Cinturato H. I did enjoy the Cinturato as it performed well on the majority of the terrain I ride on daily. Problem I had was I found I was getting a bit too loose in the soft stuff. We have a local race that I have been doing since it started and it still is some of the gnarliest gravel I've been on and it truly has some soft sections that include turns. Stepping up to the Challenge Getaway helped me feel more surefooted in those situations. In addition I found the tire also excelled in hardpack conditions and regular crushed limestone and pavement riding as well. It has a pronounced center tread pattern that is fairly solid. You get a reduced contact patch on pavement but the comfort and air volume of the gravel tire. I started on the 36mm version but found that my times and speeds increased on the 40mm version. To the point where I was beating Strava segments I had set on the road even back when I was riding a road bike all the time. Sure fitness and weight have benefitted lately but reality is that i am able to now ride a super high quality tire with amazing road feel, performance and comfort without then feeling like I am somehow paying a price in exchange."
