Challenge Fango Orange Team Edition Handmade Tubular Tire 700 x 33

In the beginning there was The Fango. It was the original mud tread that Challenge offered. Many found while it is good for shedding mud it really seemed to excel more as a deep grass, beginning slick conditions tire. Many made it their single all around tire and for that reason it is highly sought-after. Built off legacy patterns like the Grifo, the Fango brings next-level grip and power transfer when the course gets mucky. The scooped center knobs bite into the terrain without clogging, while dual contact edges add confident cornering and stability—letting you push hard through wet ruts and unpredictable transitions. This short run of "throw-back" Fangos was done on the Team Edition Casing and came in a beautiful Orange sidewall. 

Rob's Take: "This is the tire I ran as my single tread of choice for years. While I was happy to see the newer tread designs like the Baby Limus come along I did miss using the Fango which seemed to come in perfect in those semi-wet years with heavy grass and some mud. I recommended it for years specifically for riders that wanted to err on the side of more traction in their all around riding. GREAT starter tire as well. I was ecstatic when Challenge brought them back for a short run late last year. So much so I bought every one they still had in stock this spring in hopes of being the place to go when cross comes around this year."
