A Chicane built for flat-out CX racing, this file tread is all about fast lines, firm terrain, and tactical control. It has just the right side knob bite, this tire is equally happy blasting through grass crits and dry hardpack hammerfests. The center rolls quick. The edges grip late. The ride stays calm and snappy through it all.

Rob's Rating: "The Chicane is a great tread with 'free-speed'. Perfect for dry and dusty or even some sand and snow/ice conditions. So many years have had hard pack or even dusty races. These are the kind of events that the Chicane excels at."

Leah's Take: "Great for fast and dry courses with a reasonable amount of cornering traction. Great choice to mix with the chicane on the rear and something with a little more cornering traction on the front such as a Baby Limus. "

Tim's Take: "Two words- Free Speed. Who doesn't want that? Fast rolling center, excellent shoulder knows to provide the traction when needed. Great early season dry and fast conditions tire. Great for multi-surface tracks with a combo of grass/pavement/sand. However, you need some experience with this tire, especially on the front, before you can go your maximum speed given its minimalistic tread."
