Who is Tread Savvy?

Looking for information and deals on cyclocross tires isn't as easy as it should be. There's a lot of fly by night discount shops that simply regurgitate stale copy and only see tires as SKU's. We are here to give you the information and to try and hook you up with some of the best values. If you see value in the info then give us some support.

The Crew:

Tim Strelecki
A quick bio can't do justice to Tim's immense experience and accomplishments. 20 years in BMX including winning 7 National Championships, 4 out of 5 World Championships (Bronze in the 5th), and a pro career that ended in injuries. Coming back to the bike later in life saw this champion return quickly to the highest levels of the sport. He's won so many races and championships it's hard to list them all but let's leave it with the 2021 M45-49 Cyclocross National Champion. His handling skills on the bike are legendary and he's willing to share some of the information that makes it happen.

Robert Curtis
Rob has been in the sport since '87. "I was always better working on bikes than riding them". He founded PSIMET Wheels in 2009. Since then he has been wrenching and racing cyclocross at all levels. Rob has built up his experience by sponsoring pro cyclocross racers and teams, running one of the larger teams in the Chicagoland area, working as a race mechanic in races from local amateur up to World Cups, Elite National Championships, and so many UCI races. He loves to share that experience and knowledge with riders from all levels. He has also designed many cyclocross courses and hosted close to 30 cyclocross races.

Leah Sanda
In 2007 Leah was a frustrated triathlete that was told to try cyclocross. She fell in love with the sport so quickly that she went all the way to compete in the national Championships that same year (and many years after as well). While she races in other disciplines she has consistently raced in cyclocross, with varying goals and commitments, as one of her main loves on the bike. She mounted a campaign to return to racing National Championships last season. A Structural Engineer by education she finds "nerding out" (her words) over the technical side of the sport such as tire treads and tech to be one of the coolest parts. She also loves to share her hard fought expertise with cyclocross racers at all levels.
